ALETRIS Kids is a naturopathic pediatric practice serving the greater Phoenix and Scottsdale areas. Our goal is provide safe, natural care combining the best of Western medicine with naturopathic medicine principles. What is naturopathic pediatrics?
Naturopathic doctors are licensed primary care physicians in the state of Arizona, and are trained to provide medical care from pediatrics to geriatrics. Naturopathic physicians who specialize in pediatrics focus on children's care from birth to eighteen. The services we provide range from well baby and well child exams to the treatment of acute and chronic issues.

What tools do we use?
Naturopathic doctors are trained to use botanical medicines, nutrient therapy, physical manipulation, homeopathy, diet, exercise, counseling, and lifestyle modifications to support your child's body in healing itself. If necessary, the naturopathic pediatrician can prescribe pharmaceutical medications such as antibiotics. If your child is here for a well child or well baby exam, you can expect a physical exam which includes an eyes, ears, heart, throat, lung, and skin exam; height and weight; musculoskeletal assessment; head circumference; and neurological exam. Developmental milestones will also be assessed and any specific needs you may have will also be discussed. Your naturopathic pediatrician is also likely to discuss specifics regarding nutrition and physical activity.

If your child is nursing, naturopathic medicine will address any breastfeeding issues you may have. Breastfeeding is an important time in establishing a child's immune system for life.

Specialty testing such as food allergy testing or neurotransmitter testing may be recommended if there are specific health concerns that need to be investigated in further detail.
